Future Projects:

Fruit Planting:  Planting of fruit trees such as mangos, guanabanas, papayas, oranges and lemons in approximately 6 acres of land in order to grow fruits for internal consumption.

Vegetable growing:  Rich soil bordering the creek that crosses the land is ideal for the cultivation of vegetables such as tomatoes, green onions, and paprika for internal consumption.

Restoration of the hills:  The hills that define the valley where the center’s land lies needs to be reforested to strengthen the existent aquifers and prevent erosion.  The varieties of trees to plant would be fruit-bearing in the lowest and nearest hills, and autochthonous or coniferous in the highest land.

Fish Breeding: Currently, there is a pilot project that began with the placing of 200 fish (Cachamas) in a circular artificial lagoon of about 30 meters in diameter, which have been developing satisfactorily since September, 1998.  The plan is to increase the fish population and to build other lagoons in the future that will contribute to food provisioning.
